![]() ![]() No actual quest or inventory systems implemented. The trailer stars a restless scientist fiddling with a translucent blob using tentacles that branch from his palms while an out-of-view associate rambles on about… I don't know what. ![]() See that "Find a carbin hook" title? That's just a hardcoded string. Everything was hardcoded for that exact demo, but almost nothing was implemented as an actual working gameplay system. Now they have even less.ħ) The latest 10-minutes gameplay demo is all smoke and mirrors. Before reboot, the best they've got was 15-minutes long barebones linear shooter demo. All programmers familiar with the codebase left the studio (or was fired). The game is just a bunch of linear locations (despite the CEO claims about open-world in interview with IGN) with few enemies placed here and there.Ħ) Development was rebooted 5 months ago. That's with the whole team size of no more that a few dozens in it's best times.ĥ) Nothing even remotely resembling narrative or story. Only in 2018, 12 employees left the studio. They quickly burned through experienced UE4 programmers in Russia, so now game being made by juns and students. You can get fired because he is in bad mood or because he disliked you for some reason. ![]() Just doing whatever leads are up to today.ģ) Mundfish has catastrophic staff turnover rate. They don't even have plan for the next week, let alone some kind of development cycle. ![]() The whole concept changes every few months - "We want a game like Doom! Wait, no, we want Dark Souls! No-no-no, now we want Prey!".Ģ) Management is nonexistent. Like, somebody played Doom (2016) and then decided that the game need glory kill system. They just play different games and then they demand the team to implement features from those games. Creative leads have no creative vision apart from aesthetic (one of the leads is an experienced 3d-artist, so they nailed this one). The game currently is a pile of 3d models and animations. 1) Leads have no prior experience in game development and have no idea how game development works. ![]()
